Morgan McKinley is partnering with a Non-Bank Lender looking for a Senior Credit Analyst, specialising in Secured Commercial Lending. This is a hybrid role, with 4 days to be based in the Sydney office.

In this role, you will manage a workflow of approx 4 deals per day, including property acquisitions, refinancing, and cash flow-based lending, while supporting the team leader in daily operations. You will assess risk and creditworthiness for secured business loans while delivering exemplary customer service to clients.

The initial DLA for this role is $1.5M , with the opportunity to grow to $10M over the long term.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and approve loan applications within delegation, ensuring all decisions meet credit policy and timeframes.
• Minimise fraud and credit losses while protecting the integrity of the organisation and wholesale funding arrangements.
• Build relationships internally and externally through clear, persuasive communication.
• Provide commercially sound underwriting solutions and resolve objections using logical arguments to achieve beneficial outcomes.
• Maintain strict adherence to NCCP, AML/CTF, and Privacy Act legislation across all lending activities.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial lending secured by assets, with a focus on property and complex valuations.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment and a degree in Business or Accounting is desirable.
• Advanced ability to analyse Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss statements, Taxation Portals, and Business Activity Statements.
• Sound understanding of diverse structures including commercial loans, lines of credit, finance leases, asset finance, rental leases and personal loans.
• Excellent client service skills and attention to detail, with the ability to independently problem solve to tight deadlines.
