About the Job
Own the end-to-end cross-currency foreign exchange stack-instant balance conversion, auto-FX on collection, and payout-with-conversion-plus the FinOps automation behind it (sub-ledger, bank-statement ingestion, reconciliation, liquidity & close). Initial focus is Southeast Asia-Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam-with plans to expand further across SEA and globally.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategy for foreign exchange products and merchant experience at Xendit
- Understand our customers' FX needs deeply and build to meet these
- Discover, scope, and ship new features or improvements for any FX product across prioritized corridors, including but not limited to:
- quote & lock
- conversion
- cross-currency payouts and withdrawals
- payments with autoFX
- Partner with Treasury on buffers, cut-offs, settlement calendars, and rebalancing; prevent liquidity shortfalls.
- Support the setup of reconciliation at scale
- Work with Compliance, Risk and Treasury to embed sanctions/AML/limits at each movement and ensure auditability.
- Drive KPIs: FX revenue, attach & success rates, FX margin, close time, and incident reduction.
- Collaborate with Partner Management and GTM on corridor launches, docs, migrations, and incident playbooks, including currency pair configuration, settlement instructions, and bank sweeps
- Do whatever it takes to make Xendit success!
- 5-8+ years PM experience in remittance/PSP/banking with shipped regional or global FX or cross-border payout products.
- Hands-on ownership of sub-ledger & reconciliation (bank statements → events → GL), exception queues, and close processes.
- Built/managed pricing & rates with guardrails, exposure/limit policies, and LP failover
- Worked closely with Treasury on liquidity management policies and execution for FX, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support customer needs and commercial performance.
- Strong systems thinking and crisp communication across Eng/Finance/Compliance/Ops
