Metts Legal, P.A. has an immediate opening for a full-time attorney to assist with the handing of both plaintiffs’ first party property insurance and personal injury claims. Our growing law firm seeks a Florida attorney with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience. Salary is commensurate with experience and consists of a base salary plus commission.
Responsibilities:
Handling a caseload assigned by the firm, as well as developing new clients.
Client sign-ups, initiating litigation, preparing pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, and other litigation documents.
Taking depositions, attending hearings, preparing for and presenting at mediation, and trying cases before a jury.
Communication effectively with senior attorney, clients, and paralegals.
Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines.
Attorney must be able to focus on providing exceptional client service and attention. Candidate must be a self-starter, highly-motivated, enthusiastic, team player, and possessing a sense of urgency to push cases forward.
Attorney must be comfortable using technology and software to help manage files and assist with office automation.
Compensation package is a combination of base pay that is dependent on experience PLUS a percentage of fees recovered. There is a strong financial incentive to also develop and cultivate new business.
