Your Opportunity:

Our client is a PE Backed business with a track record across multiple markets and geographies. Founded in Brisbane nearly 40 years ago, they have deep connections across a range of premium brands and names.

Embarking upon their next stage of strategic growth, our client is seeking to appoint a skilled CA/CPA into a business critical position.

What You'll Do:

This is a broad position. It combines statutory obligations, compliance, AU financial statements, external audit, multi-geographies and M&A exposure.

The Accountant (Tax, Audit & Compliance) will operate across all entities within this business (excluding China). You will manage the entire compliance calendar for this business, which covers Australia, NZ, HK, UK & the US. At a granular level, this includes the preparation and lodgement of monthly tax obligations (BAS, FBT, Income Tax, PAYG).

At a higher and more unique level, this includes partnering with external firms and business partners (consulting firms, Tax specialists, insurance, reporting regulators, legal) to manage the compliance obligations of working across multiple geographies.

This business has successfully executed strategic plans before, and as they embark upon their next phase, M&A is a key component of their strategy. The Accountant (Tax, Audit & Compliance) will play a key role in the M&A DD process as the business evaluates future growth and acquisition opportunities.
